You’ve heard it before and you’ve probably experienced it yourself – you just can’t seem to pay attention long enough in some class to absorb the information, or you’ve already learned what is necessary and you’re bored out of your mind. Other classmates keep asking too many questions and the teacher keeps repeating the same things over and over. Maybe you’ve just got too much energy and you can’t sit still for extended periods of time and the seat is too hard, or possibly the content is simply not challenging at all, or it’s all of the above. Does all or any of this mean you have a disorder?
Some of the smartest kids in the world can’t focus on one task for more than 10 or 15 minutes without constant physical and mental stimulation of some kind, and in this age of information technology, just about any lesson plans or curriculum that’s not full of audio, visual, creative, multi-media and “real world” content is more than likely “boring” to the modernized students of today.
Now we all have to contend with the onslaught of food toxins, concentrated sugar (HFCS), millions of children on experimental prescription medications, 21st century learning styles, social media, fake news, over-hyped cultural bias, and plenty of school rules and regulations that don’t even make sense. It’s no wonder that every single student in every school is not diagnosed with a disease and disorder, when all we really need is more stimulating curriculum, better quality food and natural medicine.
Western Medicine is, for the most part, a Ponzi scheme. Many parents are excited when they have “good” health coverage, so they believe it’s an investment to take their children or teens to a medical doctor every time they experience any kind of health or learning challenges, so they can “nip it in the bud.” Yet many of these challenges arise due directly to environmental factors, and are not stemming from the child’s “malfunctional” body or brain.
Eating processed, GMO, junk-science food and taking chemical medications can create attention, behavior and learning problems for children that otherwise wouldn’t exist at all. Chemical consumption, including food, medicine and vaccines, can also exacerbate small issues and turn them into major ones. Combine all of that with boring school work and dozens of other children experiencing the same and what have you got? Chaos.
Maybe your child is NOT suffering from a disease or disorder, and it’s all just a Ponzi scheme invented by Big Food and Big Pharma and propagandized by medical journals to convince you to put your child on dangerous medications. Think about that for a minute.
After that sinks in, ask your child, his or her teachers, and even the school principal if they have addressed the following five considerations that have a major effect on your child’s ability to pay attention, absorb information, expend energy, think critically, and apply what he or she is learning to the real world and what really matters in life. Maybe there are practical solutions to ADD and ADHD “diagnoses” rather than adding more labels and chemicals to the equation.
How many fill in the blank and multiple choice tests and quizzes have you taken in your life? Did any of them help you with real life situations? Rote memory learning and memorizing facts and dates is boring and rather useless. Schedule a conference with your kid’s teachers and school administrators and make sure the school work is interesting, creative, challenging, and up to speed with technology and real world topics.
Kids have tons of energy, even without consuming massive amounts of sugar and carbohydrates. Teachers should accommodate this fact by incorporating lots of movement in the classroom, including team work, multi-media projects, letting students help keep the room organized and flowing. Even breaks for stretching and yoga are great, as well as seats that are softer and allow movement, like rocking, bouncing, etc. Some children need quiet fidget toys to occupy their hands also and reduce stress.
Food companies add 15 million pounds of artificial food dyes to junk food every year. These dyes are linked to behavioral problems. Even most over-the-counter medications for children are loaded with these harmful chemicals, so imagine their “behavior” and “learning abilities” when your child is already sick and you load him/her up with chemicals.
For example: consider MSG, aspartame, mercury and aluminum (also in OTC children’s medications). Also question tap water from school water fountains that’s loaded with heavy metals and toxins like lead, aluminum, and sodium fluoride (the latter of which lowers IQ). For example – SSRI drugs can cause aggression, excessive tension, hallucinations, depression, anxiety, unnatural thoughts, panic, and even feelings of suicide. SSRI drugs are more dangerous physically and psychologically than previously thought, according to a growing body of scientific evidence. Psyche drugs make 1 in 4 people MORE anxious rather than less. The drugs are the problem they’re supposed to treat. Now, science is proving vaccines also contribute substantially to kids developing learning disabilities – in fact, recent research reveals vaccinated children are more than 500 percent more likely to develop disabilities. Of course, mainstream media hides these facts about prescription drugs and vaccines, so do your own research.
